Fun Saturday

After we got back from the camp out we went as a family to see Wall-e. The boys had fun and they even got free watches at the theatre. After the movie we relaxed a little and had a yummy pizza dinner. After dinner we went to the Orem Owlz baseball game. It went into extra innings and we were there quite late. A few minutes before the end of the game the sprinklers turned on and we all had to make a run for it and grab all our stuff and get out of the way. It was super funny! We had a great time, even though the Owlz didn't win. Shane did get a ball!

Ward Campout

Friday night we went to our ward campout. We had a ton of fun. The boys all got to run around and play hard. Shane had to leave early to go take a test, but the boys and me stayed and played some games and rode back with Grandma and Grandpa M. in their motor home.

When we were going to sleep on Friday night we had the sweetest conversation. We had started singing some primary songs and sang "I Love to See the Temple". Andrew then told me that sometimes when he hears that song he cries. So then we all had the opportunity to talk about feeling the spirit and how it makes you feel. Then we talked about the importance of the temple and how we get to help people who die who haven't received the gospel. Aidan will be able to perform Baptisms for the dead in like 6 months and so we talked about that as well. Then we started looking at the stars and said something about looking into heaven. Andrew said, "How do we know that heaven is up there?" I said that we don't, we only know Heavenly Father can see all of us. He then said, "Well, I might be weird in this, but I think maybe heaven is in front of us and we can't see it." (Smart kid). I told him that I felt the same way. I told him I believe there are angels all around us helping us. It was so neat and we were able to go further with the conversation.

Work Party

Yesterday we went to my work party. They did it very kid oriented. It was a big BBQ with tons of food and ice cream. Then they had face painters, balloon twisters (yours truly), and giant inflated toys. The boys all had a ball. Max was a little leary of the giant shark, but he warmed up to it.

Zoo Night

A couple weeks ago we went to member's night at the zoo, but I have been so forgetful lately and didn't remember my camera. Shane had his phone, but I just barely got them downloaded. It was so fun so I had to post. It was the opening of the new carousel. I don't know what it is about a carousel. It didn't look that fun, but once I was in line I was suddenly so excited and felt just like a kid!

They also had crafts for the kids to do. So fun. They got to make characters for the carousel. They colored them and then put a pixie stick through it to be the pole. They loved it. Aidan opted not to make it, he was a great observer and still got a treat.

Pretty Flower

I love our backyard. It has so many plants and trees and is just so green and beautiful. With his camera phone, Shane caught a picture of a flower growing on our vines. They are so pretty.

Me and My Sisters

We are getting back more pictures from my two sister's weddings and I am loving all the pictures. I wanted to share a couple with you of me and my sisters, because they are the best!

Tagged by the G-Fam

My friend tagged me to list 5 UNimportant facts about me. I don't know really what to say, so here goes.

1. I love to make lists. To do lists, lists of what movies we have to keep track of them, job lists, etc. It's the want to be organizer in me I guess.

2. I love Little House on the Prairie and growing up I taped every episode. I even know some of the names of some of the episodes, but have forgotten a lot in my old age.

3. I am a girl movie sap/junkie. I just love little feel good movies about love and all that mushy stuff.

4. I love to spy on my kids! This sounds bad. What I mean is I like to listen to them play or watch them play when they don't know I am there. Not with everything, but sometimes it is so fun to hear them interact and see the sweet things they don't always show everyone. This is especially fun when they are playing anything that involves their imaginations. It is so sweet to watch.

5. I LOVE the little things in nature. I would pay money to smell freshly cut grass mixed with bark chips. I love the way the evening feels on a nice summer night, and I love that feeling that spring is here and everything is green and smells good. Love it.

Skidoosh!

This morning the boys all stuffed their shirts with the pillows from the couch. They wanted to be Kung Fu Panda. They were chest bumping each other and having a great time. They were going around saying, "Skidoosh!" It was so cute. Aidan and Andrew are so good with Max. He just wants to do whatever they do.

Geocaching

We went Geocaching a few years ago for the first time with Shane's uncle. We thought it was a lot of fun, but haven't had a chance to do it again. Our friends, Loren and Michelle, invited us to dinner. After dinner we all went to find a couple caches. Aidan and Andrew weren't able to be there, but we hope to take them on the next "treasure hunt"!

Hymn Countdown

Today Aidan and Andrew were with their Mom so we were at church with just Max. I was sitting by him and the organist was playing the introduction to the hymn. Right before the end of the introduction, he begins to say, "3, 2, 1, Now go." The introduction then ended and everyone began to sing. It was great timing and super funny.

Happy Father's Day - FINALLY

So, I haven't posted for Father's Day yet because I am trying to back up all my pictures and I couldn't get to the ones I wanted. I finally have them. I wanted to post and tell my husband how much I love him and tell him what a great Father he is. He is different than a lot of Dads. He loves to just get down and play with the boys. He loves to talk to them, go hiking with them, play sports with them, and play a game they made up called Naquastas. He is a wonderful father and is so loving. This year we were kind of boring, but we got him a game for the WII. It is a game where you swim with fish and learn about them. Shane LOVES to snorkel, so we thought this would be fun for him. We all made him breakfast in bed, including German Pancakes and bacon. We kind of made too many German Pancakes and ended up with half of it left over, but they are super yummy, so that didn't last too long. We love you Dad! (I had to post of picture of him as a dad and growing up. He is such a cute little kid. )

Vote for Pedro

So Shane had a guy from work come over to try to help us decide what to do with our messed up sprinkler system. He is Hispanic. I only say this because of the rest of the story. Max went to answer the door with Shane and upon opening it he said, "Pedro!" I don't really know what to say to this. I don't think I have EVER said the name Pedro in front of him, nor do I understand how he drew the connection of a Spanish name. He is just too darn funny! Thankfully our guest laughed at the comment.

Summerfest '08

We had a busy day yesterday between our local grocery store and city days (Summerfest). We went with my whole family to breakfast in the morning. Our local grocery store was having a huge celebration for Flag Day. They did FREE breakfast, which didn't just include pancakes. They had bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes and juice. It was awesome. The kids got to play in the bounce toys they had there and then they did a flag raising with their giant flag and released some balloons. Then we headed home for a little bit and went back to the store for some treats they had and to see if we had won the drawing. They had a kids' drawing for water toys. Unfortunately, we didn't win. Then we went to Summerfest and played around, finally coming home for a BBQ. After the BBQ we went to the parade and finally home to watch the fireworks from our deck.
