Aidan is 15!

What did that say?  Did that say Aidan is 15!?  What in the world!  I can't believe he is 15 already.  When we began dating he had just turned 5.  For their birthdays we let the kids choose where they would like to go for their birthday with just Mom and Dad.  Most of the kids have gone a little cheap, but Aidan saw his opportunity and so Shane, Aidan and I went to Tucanos for Aidan's birthday.  I think next year we will need to set a price limit.  But, it was a lot of fun!  Aidan did a nice little bit of shakin' while they sang Happy Birthday!

Since I just asked London these questions, I thought it would be interesting to see how they compare to a 15-year-old.

Her Stats:
She is 37 inches tall, which puts her in the 50th percentile.  She weighs 28.2 pounds, which puts her in the 25th percentile.  So she is pretty average in height and pretty skinny.
Memories I have from this past year;
You are fully potty trained in the day, but not the night yet.
You love to play with your cousins.
You love to go to class (nursery)
You are excited to take dance and constantly tell us you will start on Daddy's birthday (which is true)
You love to contradict us.  Heaven help us!  When we say no or ask you a question you answer the opposite of what you think we want to hear.
You love to try to sleep with Mom and Dad, but you will settle for Mom taking you back to your bed and laying with you for a little bit.
You love baths, especially with bubbles.
You hate to have your hair get done.  You love looking beautiful when it is done, but hate the process.
You love to get your nails painted and would do it everyday if I let you.
You love to play with Max.  Unfortunately you like to get into trouble with Max as well.
You love water and you will play in the water any chance you get, including in sinks.
You love to buy things with your cash register and have people buy things from you.  Often you will ask what we want to buy and when we tell you what we want you tell us you don't have that.
You love to do "kid esercises" which is kids' yoga on On-Demand.  You love to do the parts where you do it with a parent and the cool down where we must lay a blanket over you and a towel over your face, just like the kids on the tv.
You can't wait to go to preschool
You love purses and I can't count how many you have.  You love to put anything in them.
You love to go through my things and put them in your purses.  I am still searching for some missing items.
You love spending time with Grandma and you always come home with new treasures from her house.
You love to have Dad make you breakfast
You love to get "beautiful" and put on your make-up.
You love princesses and can't settle on which is your favorite.
You love to pretend you are in Disneyland every time we get in the car.  For the whole car ride you and Max will decide what ride you will be on and pretend you are there.  Then, you will go onto a new ride, etc. until the car ride is over.  If Max isn't in the car, Mom must help you decide what ride to go on next.

Her cake.  You can see her princess microphone and princess make-up she received for her birthday.

In the makeup kit there were sticker earrings that London loved!  Now she wants rings in her ears.

Max wanted London to dig in like when kids are 1.  She wouldn't, so he did it.

A Visit to the Dentist

We went to the dentist to get a filling for a tooth and left with a couple teeth being pulled.  Max needed more room for some teeth to grow in so the dentist decided to pull two of Max's bottom teeth while we were there.  The roots were enormous.  Max decided to write a couple notes to the tooth fairy and the tooth fairy replied.

Max: From Max: Are you a real fairy?
Tooth Fairy: Dear Max, Of course I am! But, I can only stay real if kids keep believing in me!  I hope you believe in me!  love, The Tooth Fairy
He went around for days telling me that I needed to believe so she could stay real!

Max: From Max.  What do you do with your teeth?  You can rite on the back ok.

 Tooth Fairy: Dear Max,
I do many things with the teeth
1. Build my house
2. Give them to people who need teeth and get money to bring to you
3. Sell them
4. Decorate
5. Feed my tooth eating lizard
Love,
The Tooth Fairy

He loved the lizard part.  Also, sorry for the spots.  He set it down on the cupboard while I was making tortillas and set it on part of the counter that had food on it that I hadn't gotten to wipe up.

For the Love of the Game

We have found a new love...BYU Men's Volleyball.  The atmosphere, sport, etc. are just great for the family.  Our kids love it!  And they love getting free shirts!

Another Trip to the Aquarium

Shane had to work on a Saturday, and his work is near the airport.  So, we decided to have a staycation.  We stayed at a hotel and then when Shane went to work I took the little kids to the aquarium to see the new sea otters.  Cute little guys!

Aww!

Super hero?  He had left over bandage from his surgery and it worked well for a super-hero, I guess.

Reading at School

As part of the Jazz reading program, Max's school hosted Dads and Donuts and Moms and Muffins.  Max was able to attend both events and had a great time.
Dads and Donuts with Dad!

Moms and Muffins.  I should have taken one with him!

Jazz Game

At the end of January we went on a little date night with Shane's work.  We went to Fleming's Steakhouse and then over to the Jazz game.  Good times!

Tea Party

London has really been into princesses.  So, one night we grabbed some paper and made her a little crown.  (She has also been into stripping down to as little clothing as possible so she isn't wearing a shirt here).  After the crown she decided that she wanted to have a tea party.  So, we invited all the Mortimer cousins to a little tea party for lunch.  All her Mortimer cousins attended except Isaac because he had school.  She loved it!  We had sandwiches and fruit and a drink.  We then had mini spice cupcakes that were super cute.  Everyone had their own crown and were given a little bracelet as well.  London gave everyone a little card that said, "Thank you for coming to my tea party.  Love, London."  She then colored her name in each card. (P.S. Her eyes still look a little sore here, but she was over the infection.)
The crown that led to the party

They had white crowns and they could color them.
