Sane

London's favorite thing to do lately is walk around the house calling for "Sane" because I guess I say Shane a bunch!  We have had to correct her, but she thinks it is a game.  So when Shane asks who he is she says, "Mommy?" 

He says, "No, what is my name?" 

She responds, "Sane?" 

Daddy again will say, "No, what is my name?" 

She will finally giggle and give in, "Daddy!"

The other morning I went to get London up.  She was awake and it was getting late.  I went in and she was all snuggled in her blanket.  I asked her if we should go get Max.  She said, "No, I seeping!"  It was so cute.  She then turned onto her tummy and snuggled more into her blanket.  So, instead I got Max ready so she could have her beauty sleep just a bit longer.

Getting Back Into It

As you can tell, I am getting back into it.  We had some things going on at home, so after we went private, my energies were elsewhere.  My family is still my focus, but this is our family journal and I need to keep up on it or we will never remember these moments.  I also don't want to have a huge amount of posts all at once and then nothing for a month.  So, I am going to try to get back into it.  Wish me luck!

Why Are You So Cute?

London looked so cute and I asked her, "Why are you so cute?" 

She said, "Daddy."

I responded, "Daddy made you cute?"

To which she said, "Yes, Mommy cute."

"You think Mommy is cute?"  I asked.

"Ya, Daddy cute, Max cute," she said.

"Daddy is cute and Max is cute?"  I responded.

"Ya," she said with a smile, "Jesus cute."

OK, that stopped the conversation.  It was too cute and funny all in one.  I told Shane and he asked her if she had said all these and she responded with a huge, "YES!"

Sweetest Moment

We had just put London down to bed and then we came downstairs to search for Max, who had hidden from us to avoid bed.  We looked around for a few minutes and then decided he must have slipped back upstairs while we were downstairs.  We walked upstairs to a quiet sound coming from London's room.  She had been crying minutes earlier and had stopped.  We cracked open the door and could hear Max singing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" to London.  He had climbed into her crib and was cuddled up next to her, singing her a song so she could sleep.  PRECIOUS!!!!  Shane lifted him from the crib and took him to his room.  London didn't cry again and went right to sleep.

BYU Women in Sports Event

We did some balloons and twisting for BYU for their Women in Sports Event.  It was a great event and not crazy busy.  The kids could meet players from most of the women's sports and try them out, including track, gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, golf, soccer and cheer.  They had free drinks, candy and donuts and tons of stuff to do.  I'm definitely looking for this next year to attend again.

Just shot a basket



Here's a little movie of London playing basketball.  She figured out that the ball would come down the basket if she threw it up through the basket.  Too funny!  Then, there are multiple attempts of Max to do gymnastics and one of Cosmo.  Last is the kids dancing to the music.  London sure loved her donut until I had to take it away because she put it on the ground.  Sad!

While Dad's Away...

With Dad and Aidan out of town, we ate out way more than we should have!  Actually, Max was student of the week at school earlier this year.  He received a free meal at Mimi's Cafe, so for breakfast we went there to redeem his free meal.  Then, we watched the San Diego State vs BYU game at my parent's house and the kids got to play with some cousins who showed up.  My brother's wife was also out of town with her family so we were both looking for something to do.  We headed to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum and then to dinner at Tepanyaki.  Yum!  It was so much fun and the kids loved being with each other.

BYU vs San Diego

Aidan was given a very nice present for an early birthday gift.  Shane pretty much received the gift too since he got to go.  The trip was all paid for so we didn't have to cover anything except the rental car and a little food.  The birthday present was for Aidan and his Dad to go to San Diego for the BYU vs San Diego game.  While they were there they had some extra time so Shane took Aidan to the Aquarium at Legoland.  Super fun trip they said.

I think Shane had them cut out the other guy so they wouldn't look like a gay couple with a child!
