Leprocaun Trouble

At school they do a very good job of building up the hopes of all the children that they will be visited by a little leprocaun.  This dooms all of the parents who must then live up to these expectations.  I don't remember this ever being as important with Aidan and Andrew, but it sure is for Max.  So, while he attended a birthday party, a little leprocaun (or many) paid a little visit to our house.  Please excuse anything messy in his room, he is a bit of a collector!

After the attack, Max and his cousins went all over the house looking for more mischief and they swore there was a boy and a girl who kept pinching them!

Solar Eclipse

Sunday evening we were able to look at the Solar Eclipse.  The camera didn't photograph through the film that well, but we still got some cool pictures.

Busy Saturday

Unfortunately, Aidan and Andrew's maternal grandfather passed away on Mother's Day.  We attended his funeral in the morning.  It was quite the drive, so we drove up the back way to look at new sites and drove back down the major freeway to mix things up.  Max and London were so good for the service and the viewing, so we decided to make a complete day of it.  We ate lunch at their choice, McDonald's.  We then went to the aquarium on our way home. Our pass is about to expire and we wanted to get in one last trip.  We then went to see The Avengers.  Max couldn't stop smiling and loved the movie.  London slept through the entire thing.  Shane was more on London's side of things as he felt it was predictable.  I enjoyed it and thought, what superhero movie isn't predictable?  The superhero has to win!  Regardless, it was a great day with the little ones.  Aidan and Andrew were able to spend the whole weekend with their other family and that was needed and great!  We missed them, but we are glad they were where they needed to be.

Her First School

Aunt Sarah was able to bring a child to school for a day care/preschool day.  London was so excited to go with Aunt Sarah.  She grabbed her biggest purse to hold her school treasures and headed out with Aunt Sarah for her big adventure.  They got their own play doh and London was so happy it was pink!

Parkin'

We went to the park the other night to just hang out.  Here is how each of the kids swings.

Max goes like Superman or sits normal and pumps his feet to go really high.  Just a year ago he hated swings, but now he has conquered his fear!

Hot Tub Time

We had dinner at my parents and all the grandkids got some much needed hot tub time!

Art Gala

At Max's school volunteers come to his class once a week to teach extra art.  They teach the different grades age appropriate things.  At the end of the year they display some of the art at a gala.  Here is Max's artwork.  The whole poster and then the individual items he did.  Quite the good little artist.

My Dance Cass

Well it is dance class, but London calls it "My Dance Cass."  She is loving this class.  She gets to go 2 times a week for 45 minutes per lesson.  The lessons are for almost 3 months with a recital.  It was a great price through the city.  We are so lucky that the cities offer things like this.  She constantly shows us what she is learning and she is doing really well at listening to her teacher.  These are pictures from her first lesson.  She kept waving to us and smiled the entire time!

Visiting the Zoo

During Spring Break we met Dad at the zoo.  I can't recall ever taking London to the zoo.  If we did, she was certainly too small to remember.  She loved the zoo.  She loves all carousels, so that was a bonus.  She is in love with Lions.  The zoo doesn't currently have a lion, but they have many tigers and she thought that was just as good.
