1st Day & Back to School

London had her first day of preschool.  School didn't start until 9:30, but she had her backpack on from 7 a.m. on.  She was so excited.  She loved it!

On London's 2nd day, I had Back to School night at Max's school.  Outside the class they had drawn a picture of themselves and made a thing with their name.  If you lifted the letters they would tell about themselves with something that started with the same letter as their name.

A - August.  My Brithday is in August.

Labor Day Getaway

For Labor Day we decided to do a staycation.  We actually stayed at a hotel in Salt Lake, but that is close to home.  We did a lot of fun things.  Besides swimming in the pool we went to the zoo, The Leonardo Museum, Discovery Gateway Museum, a movie, City Creek Mall and Temple Square.  It was nice not having to be anywhere and just be together.  The kids loved all the places.  There were a few that Max tried to tell us he wasn't interested in, but then we would walk in the door/gate and he was all about it.

FHE - Mortimer Style

For FHE with my family we went to the Highland Splash Pad.  The little kids and I had been there before but it had been quite some time.  Max was telling me that we had never been there and I couldn't convince him otherwise.  So, it was new to him!  All the cousins had fun playing in the water.  Shane spent most of his time talking to my brother, Dan, which he appreciated.  I sat in the shade with the girls and chatted.  After, we went to Arctic Circle for some treats.
