Our Business Blog
We just started a blog for our business. If you need any party supplies or balloons let us know. We don't carry everything in stock, but we are usually cheaper than the local party stores, especially for balloons. A link to our website and blog are on this blog. Our main website has a link to our store. It is still a work in progress and we are working on rebuilding it, but hopefully you can find your way around.
Max Counting
Here is a way cute movie of Max. We play this counting game on the computer sometimes. This was like the third round, so at the end he is a little tired of counting, but it is too funny. Sorry for the night vision, that was an accident. The game is like a sport, this one is hockey, so he acts just like he is at the big sporting event!
Max's Pajamas
Usually Max doesn't want to wear anything to bed except his diapers. For some reason, last night he just wanted to be fully dressed and would NOT go to bed until he had put on the following:
A Long Sleeve Shirt
A New Diaper (Pull-up Buzz Lightyear...he calls them Buzz)
Spiderman Underwear
Red Shorts
Another pair of Spiderman Underwear
Grey Shorts
He was so happy and wore them all night!

President Hinkley

I just wanted to pay a quick tribute to President Hinkley. I'm so sad to see him go and tonight I have just periodically started to cry. The thing I am so happy about, is that he gets to see his wife. Today in church our lesson was on his conference talk "Slow to Anger" where he mentions his wife and his love for her. I just kind of pictured in my mind how wonderful it would be to see my spouse after death. It gives me great hope for the eternities. I chose the picture above because it just said "Pres. Hinkley" to me. He had such a great sense of humor and I remember the first time I met him. There have been a lot of changes and additions to the leadership of the church and it is evident the Lord is preparing his people.

Pictures of Max Swimming
Well, Max is doing great so far (only 2 lessons, but of course he is the best!) Here are some pictures, but remember, the pictures are to look at him, not me in the bathing suit. Remember, I still have my resolution working to lose weight and I am not quite there.

Please don't make me do a back float!

Swimming Lessons
Max starts his first swimming lessons today. It was going to happen in October, but they still had restrictions on children under 5 swimming. He is so excited and has wanted to put on his suit and swim in the bath tub. It is a Mom and Me class, so I will be doing it with him. I am excited for everything except going outside into the cold after. I will try to get some pictures of him throughout the lessons.

Tagged Again
Well, I was tagged again. Unfortunately, I can't really come up with any other things that are quirky about me that I didn't already put down. So, I'm asking everyone to go to my post on November 18th here: http://suzyqzoo.blogspot.com/2007/11/tagged.html to see all the interesting things about me.
Disneyland Pics
The last picture is of us at a hardware store in Glendale that Shane's Grandma started and now his uncle and cousins run.
Our 2nd Disneyland Trip
It just occured to me that I never posted anything about our most recent trip to Disneyland. The older boys had just been to Disney World with their Mom on a business trip and had missed plenty of school. Shane and I decided we wanted to go with just Max and make the experience more about him. We asked Carrie and Anna to come along so we would have other people there for the adult rides so we could rotate Max. We all flew out there (which was so much better than driving with a 2 year old). It was so fun. It was completely dead and we got to do everything we wanted multiple times. Usually we are there like 5 days and feel like we missed things. This time we did everything we wanted in 2 days, plus saw more things than we normally do. In my next post I will do a slideshow of some of our pictures. It was so fun!

My Resolution Update
So I have been working on my resolutions and I wanted to update where I am at.
1. Spiritual
We have made a schedule for reading the Book of Mormon as well as the Conference talks for 2008. I am happy to say we are right on schedule and it has been wonderful. Shane and I used to listed to The Book of Mormon on Tape on our way to work, but we haven't always done well with the family. It has been so neat to have the kids reading with us and discussing the scriptures, etc.
2. Body
I am so proud of me and Shane. We exercised 4 days last week and we have exercised 3 days this week and plan on doing one more. We are doing the 2 "The Biggest Loser" DVDs. They totally kick your butt! They recommend doing 4-5 days a week and we are trying to do that. They rotate between cardio and sculpting. They really concentrate the cardio on your large muscles for maximum calorie burning. We have also been eating healthier, which has played into my meal planning.
3. Financial/Family
Shane and I have done really well restraining ourselves. We have worked hard at not going out if we don't need to. I have gone back to planning menus so that when I go grocery shopping what I buy has a purpose. Hopefully this will help with getting me home. I have also contemplated taking some different community education classes and UVSC classes so that I can get my Early Childhood degree and do a preschool from home. We will see how this goes.
I am determined to keep this going. I have to remember we are only 2 weeks into the New Year, so I have 50 more to go to meet my goals for the year (And the rest of my life to keep with it), but meeting little milestones helps to motivate me and remind me why I am doing everything that I am doing.

My Weekend
We had such a fun weekend. We went to Logan to spend some time with some of our good friends. Their son was getting baptized. We were going to only stay until Saturday night, but our kids convinced us to stay through Sunday. It was a lot of fun and it was good to see them all and see what great kids they have. It really made me want to be a better parent. Anyway it was really fun. We went sledding and just enjoyed each other's company. I have some fun pictures to upload, so keep looking. You'll love it!
