On Day 3 we decided to go to Manitou Springs. We let the kids play a few games before we had to leave. We ate a little park and it had some fun toys and was surrounded by trees, which was wonderful! After the park, we headed to a swimming pool.
It was a fun little pool for the kids. Normally the pool is $25 per family, so it would have been $75. The sweet lady at the counter was obviously taken with our handsome husbands and let us all in for $25 total! Awesome! Shane had offered her a hug, which I think was the main reason for the savings! :) Shane did deliver on that hug and I wish I had a picture!
After the pool we drove around the neighborhood just next to the pool. It was devastated by the large fire that recently wen through Colorado. It was crazy to see how the fire went. There would be no homes but one standing. It was so sad and just crazy to see.
We got back to Jason and Shezrae's house and the adults all got ready for a HOT DATE! We took Jason and Shezrae out as a thank you and because Shezrae's birthday was in just a week. All the teenagers watched the kids. We went to a Mongolian BBQ Buffet. Super yummy and super fun! After the buffet we went to a frozen yogurt place. We ate way too much and had way too much fun! When we got home, we were amazed to learn that the teenagers had not only babysat, but they had completely entertained all the little children AND cleaned Shezrae and Jason's house. They vacuumed and cleaned the kitchen. All the shoes by the door were all neatly lined up. It was WONDERFUL! Shezrae almost cried and I wanted to as well. I was so proud of them all and the service and love they showed. Man, we have great kids!
P.S. The kids loved playing out back and got creative with some different things. At the bottom is a video from this day of them shooting a little rocket. Pretty funny.
